This notice explains how FindVoucherCodes Ltd (“we”) uses personal data when you use FindVoucherCodes. We are the controller of that data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. ICO registration number: to be added.

What we collect

• If you join: your email address, display name and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password; the deals, comments and votes you post.
• When you click a link to a shop: a random click reference, the page and offer you clicked, the time, and a one-way hash of your IP address and browser that we can’t turn back into either. We use it to count clicks, spot automated traffic and match commission reports from affiliate networks.
• When you tell us whether a code worked: your answer and a hash of your IP address, browser and the date, so each person counts once a day.
• If you contact us: your name, email and message.

Why (lawful basis)

• Running your account and showing your posts: our contract with you.
• Click and code statistics, preventing spam and abuse: our legitimate interests in running a reliable site.
• Answering messages: our legitimate interests.

Affiliate networks and shops

When you follow a link to a shop, the affiliate network and the shop set their own cookies so a purchase can be credited to us. Their privacy notices apply. We send them our click reference, never your name or email.

How long we keep it

Account data: until you delete your account. Click logs: 24 months. Code feedback: 12 months. Contact messages: 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account yourself from your account page. Email hello@findvouchercodes.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
